Reclaiming Hope is a riveting read on contemporary Africa, delivering an urgent message on renewing hope and rebuilding the African continent for a prosperous future. It is challenging and inspiring.

Reclaiming Hope is a charge to the African to believe in himself and in his own ability to drive change and ultimately transform Africa. As Africans, we often look outwards, hoping that a Messiah will emerge to solve our problems. Reclaiming Hope is a challenge for the African to become his own Messiah and deliver the change we all seek.

In this book, Boluwaji takes the reader through an inspiring journey - delving into our root as Africans as the necessary starting point for reclaiming our collective identity, which is crucial to fostering an African Renaissance. He navigates the subject of Unity, and argues that our experience of slavery and colonialism planted seeds of division that must be deliberately uprooted in order for Africa to move forward.

Boluwaji reflected on our shared values as Africans and argues that reaffirming those shared values which are foundational to African societies is an inevitable requirement for a prosperous future. On the touchy matter of religion, Boluwaji offers alternate perspectives that encourages the African to question what he accepts as religious, noting that society always evolve, and so must religion. Boluwaji also explored the subject of leadership, reflecting on the nature of leadership that Africa require to evolve as a prosperous continent. He notes further, the need for the African to invest in his mind, arguing that the mind is where the new Africa will be fashioned.

Reclaiming Hope ends with a stirring message in the final chapter: change is possible and it is upto citizens to march for it. It provides a complete toolbox for the changemaker to mobilize his community for the march for change. It is a bold call for change - challenging the African to pick up the mantle of leadership and inspire change in his community and nation. That is where the transformation of Africa must begin. There is hope for Africa, and that hope reside in her people.

Reclaiming Hope is a must read for anyone who believes in the future of Africa and aspires to lead change in their communities.

Boluwaji Braimoh's Reclaiming Hope is a labour of love pro patria. It is a summons to the African youth to snatch back their countries from the jaws of the inept and corrupt leaderships of the past several years. Boluwaji provides a feasible, step-by-step guide to acquiring the requisite traits for birthing a new Africa. A must-read for anyone who wishes to lead. Thank you, Boluwaji, for such a valuable leadership training manual.

With a supreme openness of the mind, Boluwaji Braimoh in this book, examines the path Africa has taken, and delivers an inspiring message on solving the crises of the time on the continent. Here is a product of profound contemplation that sparks the creative imagination urgently needed for advancing global prosperity with the African as a driver. Reclaiming Hope, is therefore a guide for enlarging the capacity of the mind for innovation and an essential text on how a people on the path of redemption can attain the practical power to alter their history and livelihood.

When not writing poetic pieces, this author is always interrogating his own thoughts, rendering them in philosophical treatises of self-assurance of sanity…. He is to be seen constantly trekking the village paths to our urban jungles, observing, recording, chronicling. He has the stamina of a road worker, the enthusiasm of the young, and the concern of the old. This, I’d say, is a good read by one who has refused to give up.

In this book, Boluwaji helps us introspect on our past, present and future as Africans. He reminds us that we are a people with tremendous potential, and suggests some paths to healing for us as individuals, as nations and a continent. The ideas here are useful both at community and national levels. Hope isn’t dead. Our future is clearer and better.

In the midst of the quagmire and hopelessness that confront Africa, Reclaiming Hope is an extremely positive book that sidesteps the negativisms about Africa and Nigeria in particular. It believes that the youths carry a very huge burden in this proposed intervention and posits that they must not despair but trudge forward as the task of transforming Africa is not insurmountable but doable. The hope in Reclaiming Hope is indeed very infectious. Negativism and despondency in it are very lean. It is a positive addition to the contributions of great thinkers, leaders and writers whose submissions for the progress of Africa were earlier espoused in this short intervention. It is a book I recommend for Africans whose failing and sagging hope in their continent is getting worse. It rekindles hope and strengthens resolve. It is a must-read about the innate and manifest possibilities inherent in the continent.

Hopelessness has so much pervaded our society especially among the youths, it is so palpable and expectedly so. Boluwaji has been among the very few lonely voices of hope, this is touching being a youth himself not immune to the hardship his peers are subjected to. His persuasions are so contagious. He has once again matched his words with action. This piece is one of such efforts to galvanize our minds towards nationhood. I'm especially impressed at how he addressed fundamental issues of the root, values, ideology and religion as it affects our contemporary lives. For anyone who believes in the future of this nation, unrepentant optimists like him and me, home and abroad, this revised edition of Reclaiming Hope is a must read.

Though the book's title is almost suggestive of a lost hope now reclaimed, the central theme of this thoughtful book is more about focusing on hope to overcome the despairs that have become a lot of many African societies. With some drive into history and the need for the collective approach (unity), the author advocates that we can still write the history of Africa and Africans in gold pen. To this, I agree with him. Our challenges are enormous, but we can reach the Africa of our dreams with sustained hope and diligent work.

The book 'Reclaiming Hope: Time for Africa's Rebirth' by Boluwaji Davids addresses the issue of unfulfilled potential in Africa and the loss of hope among its people. The author argues that Africa has the resources and talent to overcome its challenges, but people are waiting for a savior instead of recognizing that they are their own messiahs. The book serves as a call to action and encourages people to take charge of their own future and the future of their nations. The book covers a wide range of topics, including identity, unity, values, leadership, religion, and violence, and provides practical solutions for addressing these issues. With a focus on Nigeria, the author aims to inspire hope and renew people's belief in their ability to shape their future.
